Welcome to Hitchin’ Bitches, at Threshold

Hitchin’ Bitches SoCal is a division of Hitchin’ Bitches International, founded by Hedwig Florence. It is a women-led rope education and practice time dedicated to empowering women who tie to improve and develop their rope skills. It is a place for women, transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, intersex tops. Bottoms of all gender identities are welcome. This event is moderated by Hitchin’ Bitches LA, and the hosts are affiliated Cell graduates of The Devil Mask Society.

Join them for their monthly open tie and skill-sharing gathering! This event is a focused rope bondage laboratory. Hosts will be on hand to help answer questions and demonstrate some rope bondage techniques. This can include sharing ideas, asking questions, following along with others, problem-solving together, and generally just having lots of fun with rope. Instruction will be provided at the start of the session only.

Hitchin’ Bitches is an experimental “sandbox” environment. You are welcome to their event as long as you comply with both their and our rules.

Mainstream media tends to portray rope bondage using stereotypical “one size fits all” imagery that doesn’t reflect the reality in which we live. We believe that rope bondage is for everybody and every body. While our group is centered around “women who tie,” we leave it to our members to decide if that is congruent with their gender identity.

Class curriculum

At the start of the session, we’ll be offering a Rope 101 crash course, covering single and double column ties and some basic terminology and safety concepts for those that are totally new to rope or need a refresher course. The lesson will follow afterward. You do not have to participate in the lesson but please enter quietly if you arrive after it has begun to not disrupt any instruction in progress. For the safety of our group, please understand that this is a learning & practice event, not a place to have a full “rope scene.”

Schedule:

  • 1:00pm – 1:30pm: Warm up, stretch, & mingle.
  • 1:30pm – 1:45pm: Welcome & introductions.
  • 1:45pm – 2:45pm: Lesson with guided instruction.
  • 2:45pm – 4:00pm: Open lab time – free tie.

What to bring:

  • A rope bottom (Optional, but recommended. Female-identified tops are welcome to self-tie, or pair up with other attendees, but the hosts will not negotiate that for you)
  • Your own rope (there will be extra rope on hand to borrow).
  • Yoga mat or blanket.
  • Cutting tool (for safety).
  • Spill-proof water bottle for refreshments (optional).
  • Snacks if you need them (optional).

$10 for non-members.

Additional Information

Doors close at 12:00am, or when our maximum capacity of 90 people is reached, there will be no admittance thereafter. All play, including aftercare, must end 15 minutes before the party’s closing. Please arrive early to ensure admittance.

No Drugs, Alcohol or Intoxication

Club Threshold prohibits the use of alcohol, illegal and/or illicit drugs at any of its functions. Threshold also prohibits the use of legal marijuana, medicinal or recreational. Intoxication is not tolerated. If you appear to be inebriated, you will be likely be approached by a DM for your own safety and the safety of others. The DM’s word is the last word on this issue, and members that appear inebriated may be asked to leave.

About our Facilities

Threshold is equipped with a lounge area, bathrooms, lockers, kitchen, 7 themed rooms, our large main room with multiple play areas& a renovated state-of-the-art lighting setup.

Soda & water are available with a $1.00 donation. Help us reduce our carbon footprint by bringing your own reusable liquid container.
