Welcome to Diversity Support Group at Threshold.

Diversity Support Group’s intention is to:

  • Provide a safer space for people to connect with each other.
  • Provide a space for diverse voices to be heard, especially among those who often don’t have the opportunity.
  • Raise awareness and create opportunities for underrepresented groups and people within the greater kink community.

We hope to do this through a structure of closed and open groups, and have it grow from the relationships that are built.

Structure/Schedule:

4:30pm – 5:00pm: Set Up/Volunteer

We always appreciate the help setting up the space since we have to move dungeon equipment and set up tables and chairs. If you would like to volunteer your time and make friends in the process, please show up during this time. All are welcome.

6:10pm – 6:15pm: Break

6:15pm – 7:30pm: Open Group

We will have a large group where everyone is welcome. In the first part, we want to give the representatives of each small group an opportunity to share what they have previously discussed and feel comfortable sharing.

Each group will be allotted 15 minutes, and they may yield the rest of their time for open discussion on the topics that are brought up.

NOTE: Depending on the availability, we can do open small groups from 6:15-7:45 as well. This would be for those who prefer to focus on topics related to a specific diverse group, regardless of how they identify.

7:30pm – 7:45pm: Open Discussion

In the last 15 minutes, we will open up the discussion to any other topics that attendees wish to discuss.

7:45pm – 8:00pm: Review and Close

We will review the day and discuss how we can improve the group. We will also vote on next months rotating group.

NOTE: The structure and format may change to meet the needs of those attending.
